About a year or two ago I came across a prayer in the back of a book called Protecting Your Family in Dangerous Times by Kellie Copeland-Kutz. She is a wife and mother. It spoke to my heart so I copied it down and put it with my regular God-time stuff that I will continue to show you as we go along. (This picture is from our little piece of land on the outskirts of town.)
It took me many, many years to realize that evil was real. A force to be reckoned with.
It’s 5:30am. I’ve just had my first cup of tea in bed. (That’s Oregon. I just like this photo.)
I’m about halfway through my God Time and I’m thinking I’m so glad I got up early because I know, without any doubt, my days go better when I’ve spent time with the Big Guy upstairs. But, as we all know, it’s hard to make that time because life gets in the way so easily!
Allyn Cox Oil on Canvas 1973-1974 George Washington was sworn in as the nation’s first president on April 30, 1789, on the balcony of Federal Hall in New York. The mural depicts (from left to right) Robert R. Livingston, chancellor of the state of New York, administering the oath; Secretary of the Senate Samuel Otis holding the Bible; George Washington, with his hand upraised; and Vice President John Adams.
As I was writing a few of the previous posts, I started thinking, “You know, maybe I’m being kind of intense on some of this stuff. Like the homeschooling. Maybe other things too.” So I thought I’d better tell you guys a couple of things about me that my good friends and family already know. And they say they still love me.

Before I can go a minute further with this website, I must tell you about and give credit to the people God sent into my life to help me learn who He was and what He wanted me to do. To show me how to receive great clarity in all these things. To make me understand who I am in Christ. To show me how to fight evil and be in the midst of God’s blessing. And to show me how to be a better wife and mother. Much of what you will read on this website has been gleaned through the relationship my husband and I have with this family as we have all lived and learned.
So glad you stopped by! My name is Allison and I’m a blogger in Small Town, Oklahoma. I love social media, (used to be a tv producer in LA before kids) finding chemical-free answers for everything in life, building businesses with my hubby of 22 years and loving on my 5 babes ages 8-20. I’m mostly into social media video, so find me on facebook, instagram and lately, snapchat!
