Hello, friends!

Turning 60 doesn’t mean you can’t make meaningful changes to help you live your best life. That’s why I created The Sixty-Day Dare, a comprehensive program designed to rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit. You’ll choose one area of focus around each of three core pillars (BodyWork, BrainWork, and WorldWork), that you’ll participate in for 60 days.

Because the best way to do this dare is together, I’ll be hosting a few groups each year so you can participate with others who are also interested in living their best lives. View the next Sixty-Day Dare start date here.

In this blog, I’ll highlight the key components of the Sixty-Day Dare and share tools that will set you up for success! I’ll start by explaining the three core pillars: BodyWork, BrainWork, and WorldWork.

  • BodyWork: This pillar focuses on physical health.
Healthy habits include clean eating, drinking more water, regular exercise, breath work, and improving your sleep schedule.
  • BrainWork: This pillar focuses on mental enrichment.
Healthy habits include writing, reading, decluttering and detoxing your home, meditation/prayer/affirmations, and participating in a chosen creative endeavor.
  • WorldWork: This pillar focuses on meaningful engagement with the world around you. You can actually rotate among any or all of the following: Answering DREAM questions, connecting with friends and family, attending a spiritual gathering (church, get-togethers, book club, etc.), volunteering in your community, and working on your purpose/mission or trying something new in that department.

This is just a taste of the Sixty-Day Dare. Get the book, Sixty Is a Good Start, to read about it in detail and if you’d like, the Reignite! Sixty-Day Dare Planner that accompanies it. Each day of the Sixty-Day Dare, you’ll choose one area in each pillar to focus on. This will help create healthy habits that you’ll continue once the 60 days are up! Research now tells us it takes at least 60 days to create a new habit. That’s one reason sixty is a good start!

Although this may seem daunting, I have prepared tools to set you up for success! You’ll definitely want to plan the days in the week ahead. I like planning on Sunday afternoons, but choose a day that works best for you! Here’s how I plan:

  • Brain Download of To-Dos: Make a list of everything you need to do for the week ahead (including your Sixty-Day Dare activities, of course!)
  • Meal planning: Planning dinners helps keep you on track for healthy eating habits!
  • Time Planning: Start with appointments, then fill in your free time. Make sure to leave in buffer room and travel time between tasks.

Alrighty, my friend, how are you feeling? Ready to get started? This is going to be great!

Sign up for the next Sixty-Day Dare!

Looking forward to helping you become the best version of yourself!
