I created these biblical affirmations below way back in 2007.  Taking a verse and writing it in First Person. Our words are extremely powerful and will dictate what our lives look like, so we really have to watch our mouths.  And I am certainly preaching to myself here as well as anyone else who wants to listen :)

They cover a few important subjects to me:  health, marriage, children, and basic life.  Maybe pick some that resonate for you, copy them, or look up the verse and change it a bit to better reflect you, print them out, post them somewhere and start speaking God’s words over yourself and your household.

My confessions:

I do not throw away your confidence and it is richly rewarded. I persevere and when I do your will Father, I receive what you promise.   – Hebrews 10:35-36

I enjoy good health and all goes well with me. My soul gets along well. – 3 John 2

I have confidence as I approach you Father. When I ask anything according to your will, you hear me. And since I know that you hear me – whatever I ask – I know that I have what I asked of you.   – 1 John 5:14-15

I am completely free from coveting anything and I am content with what I have because you Father say “Never, no never will I leave you; never, no never, will I forsake you.”  – Hebrews 13:5

For as many as are the promises of you God, they all find their answer, their yes, in Christ. For this reason, I speak Amen, so be it, to you Father, through Jesus, to your Glory Father. – 2 Cor 1:20

My children are taught by you Father and great is their peace. – Isaiah 54:13

The spirit of you Father, who raised Jesus from the dead, is living in me; You, Father who raised Christ from the dead also give life to my mortal body through your Spirit who lives in me. – Romans 8:11

I pay attention to what you say, Father. I listen closely to your words. I do not let them out of my sight. I keep them within my heart; they are life to me and health to my whole body.   – Proverbs 4:20-22

I serve you Lord my God and you bless my food and my water and you take sickness away from my midst. –Exodus 23:25

The weapons I fight with are not weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. I demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God and I take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ. – 2 Cor 10:4-5

I am strong in you Lord. I am empowered through my union with you. I draw the strength through you that your boundless might provides. I put on your whole armor like a heavy-armed soldier, that you provide. And I successfully stand up against all strategies and deceits of the devil. I am fully aware that I am not wrestling with flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world God and when the day of evil comes, I stand my ground. I stand firm. I have tightened the belt of truth around my waist and have put on the breastplate of integrity, moral rectitude, and right standing with God. I have shod my feet in preparation to face the enemy with firm footed stability, promptness and readiness that comes from the Gospel of Peace. I take up the shield of faith and I extinguish all flaming arrows of the evil one. I take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the spirit wields, which is the word of God. And I pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. I am alert and always praying for all the saints. – Ephesians 6:10-18
